What is Invisalign?
Invisalign can be an alternative option for teens and adults to straighten teeth without the use of traditional wires & brackets. Clear plastic shells called aligners are custom-made to improve the position of teeth throughout the course of treatment. These custom aligners are created from innovative 3D printing and imaging.
Advantages of Invisalign include the ability to eat and drink without worrying about the typical restrictions associated with other forms of orthodontic treatment. In addition, Invisalign patients can brush and floss normally whereas traditional treatment requires slight changes in both. Invisalign is a virtually invisible treatment as only a thin clear plastic is covering the teeth. Finally, appointment times for Invisalign patients are typically much shorter so you can expect to spend less time in our office and more time doing the things you love (although we’ll miss you!).
How does it work?
About once a week, the aligners are replaced with fresh new ones for seamless treatment progression. Typically, you’ll only need to come into the office every 6 weeks to pick up additional aligners and to have your progress checked by Dr. Moore. Aligners diligently work to gently shift your teeth over time into your optimal smile. While you are busy living your life, your aligners will be busy creating your very own stunning smile!
